Our most recent placements indicate continuing growth of opportunities for Human Resources executives, especially in the major metropolitan centers around the country. We have seen the greatest opportunities in the major metro areas, especially metro New York including New Jersey & Connecticut, Chicago, Los Angeles and Boston. Also noteworthy in recent placements and current opportunities are Atlanta and Dallas-Fort Worth.
Our findings differ from those of a recent study of those of a cross-industry study on job growth, commissioned and just released by the US Conference of Mayors, which found that Sunbelt cities such as Phoenix, Las Vegas and Orlando will outpace most of country in job growth. We also have been seeing strong growth in these areas, but not quite as robust as the major metro areas cited above. In addition, we also have seen a solid increase in opportunities in the midwest, particularly Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
Salaries and incentives are increasing as well, at least with our client base. We are routinely seeing and handling placements for HR professionals with packages well above the national averages, as cited by the US Dept of Labor.
